OncoPanCure Announces Licensing Agreement for OPC080 with IQS School of Engineering and Xenopat

OncoPanCure S.L. today announced the licensing agreement with IQS School of Engineering – Universitat Ramon Llull and Xenopat S.L. for OPC080, OncoPanCure’s lead therapeutic candidate for the treatment of pancreatic cancer.
The agreement grants OncoPanCure the rights to develop and commercialize the technology underlying OPC080, enabling the company to advance the compound through regulatory preclinical development and toward clinical evaluation.
OPC080 originated from a long-standing scientific collaboration between researchers at IQS and Xenopat combining expertise in medicinal chemistry, computational drug design, cancer biology and translational oncology. Since 2019, this multidisciplinary collaboration has led to the discovery, optimization and extensive preclinical evaluation of the compound.
OPC080 is a first-in-class small-molecule therapeutic candidate designed to disrupt tumor signaling through multitarget modulation of the MAPK network. Preclinical studies have demonstrated antitumor activity across multiple pancreatic cancer models, both as monotherapy and in combination with other targeted therapies.
The technology is protected by an international patent application (PCT WO 2026/082727), filed in 2024.
The licensing agreement represents a key milestone in the transition of OPC080 from academic discovery to therapeutic development and establishes the foundation for OncoPanCure to lead its future development.

OncoPanCure was founded in Barcelona in July 2026 to advance OPC080 and build on the scientific work generated through the collaboration between IQS and Xenopat.

With the licensing agreement in place, the company is now focused on completing the IND-enabling development of OPC080, including pharmaceutical development, regulatory toxicology and interactions with regulatory authorities, as it prepares the path toward first-in-human studies.
